He was arrested on March 6, 2020 for the article titled “Odatv reached the footage of the quiet funeral service of the MIT (National Intelligence Agency) member who was martyred in Libya”. He was accused of “disclosing the information and documents regarding intelligence actions”. He was accused of “disclosing, publishing and revealing information and documents regarding the duties and activities of the National Intelligence Agency” and “disclosing information that must be kept confidential, regarding state’s safety and its internal and external political interests.”. He was requested to be sentenced to from eight to 19 years of imprisonmnet. In the second hearing of the trial on September 9th, 2020, he was acquitted from the charge of “revealing information concerning the state’s security and political interests”. He was condemned to 3 years 9 months in prison for “revealing information concerning National Intelligence Organization (MİT)”. Upon the announcement of the verdict, he was released from prison. The legal proceedings continue at the court of appeal.

Barış Terkoğlu was acquitted from all charges at the second hearing on September 9th, 2020.
Berzan Güneş is a former reporter for Mezopotamya News Agency (MA). He was taken into custody in Şırnak on June 11, 2018. Güneş was charged for “making propaganda for a terrorist organization” and subsequently arrested. He was released at the end of his first hearing on Aug. 7, 2018. He was tried without being arrested. At the end of the trial he was sentenced to 3 years 1 month 15 days of imprisonment for “making propaganda for an organisation”. The decision was taken to the appeal court.
A food engineer. Wrote an article regarding Ministry of Health’s research in Cumhuriyet Daily. Following the article an an official complaint was filed against him for “disclosing information that is to be kept confidential in a manner to cause indignance in public” by the Ministry. Following the complaint, a lawsuit was opened. He was acquitted from the accusations of “Securing Prohibited Confidential Information” and “Disclosing Prohibited Confidential Information”. He was sentenced to 1 year 3 months of imprisonment. Court of Appeal process continues.

She was accused of “identifying officials on anti-terror duties as targets” and “membership of armed terrorist organisation” through her posts regarding a judge who was being discussed for some of his decisions in different cases. She is requested to be sentenced to, from six years to 13 years of imprisonment. She is released pending trial.
